Hey Nice job I love your work Kinda that ugly kid that only a mother can love but I wish I had your skills. Looks like a lot of fun the build and driving. In your chain saw buggy posting you mention getting air bubbles in the fuel from time to time. Not sure if you solved this or not but my two cents worth are coming your way Get some foam like the kind in a seat cushion and some high density foam. place a layer of 12 inch high density foam on the frame where the tank sits on top of that place a layer of 1 inch seat cushion foam. I dont remember how your had secured the tank but if you used straps that go over the tank place a strip of high density foam between any strap and the tank. This will dampen the vibration that causes air bubbles. That is if it is vibration causing the problem. If you are using exhaust pressure to pressurize your tank use an extra 12 inches of tubing and coil it up. Zip tie it out of the way and this extra length will help reduce the puffing into the fuel tank and make for a more constant blowing of air pressure. Though I have never scratch built a truck like this I have been building and driving small engine models for 20 years and I have learned a lot from trial and error. Keep up the good work we need more like you If your ever in the market for a commercially built truck slide on by www.CoroPlanes.com and see what I have to offer

It was extended cab and had a 34 ton if you would believe that My father put over 180000 miles on it for work but it still runs till this day because he took care of it. Too bad we dont have it. Anyways cool site it gives me the idea to make a site like this on myspace although I dont like myspace everyone has it so why not

fix

12/15/2006

well i did a litle bith of thinking ad i think that i culd start a motor usind a cordles dc drill gearing but to svamp the motor with rc car motor with hier rpm and i wuld have possibly more power to ith allso my pullstarter is broke so i have to make a batery powerd starer p.s. sorry for my bad english grama i live i croatia i i sock in english grama

Eric S.

12/15/2006

Fix yes an AC drill starts the car perfectly. Alas a cordless DC drill doesnt have the RPMs to get the job done. So starting the car requires electricity which kinda stinks. Anything I build in the future will have a pullstarter. With the chainsaw I had it just wasnt possible without having a big honking pull starter assembly hanging off the side.

I enjoyed your site. I wish I had taken pictures of all my cars like you have. I had several that I wish I had pics of now. My favorite part, and I can see I am not alone, is on your r/c car. It has gotten me to put my planes on the back burner and try to build one. It is difficult to see what kind of parts you used from those pics though.

ITS-THE-ZOLLINATOR!!

8/14/2006

Looks GREAT!! Best idea i can give to really torque up the steering would to have 2 steering servos. 1 servo for each front wheel and run a bracket or strong wire from servo to servo so they are connected and work in unison. Two HAS to be stonger than one! You might have to play around with wiring or buy/make a custom "Y" harness to run the 2 servos from the one channel. Just a thought... Other than that i like what i see..very very much SO!! OH!! ALSO.. DO YOU WANT INSANE SPEED?? (off course you do;-)) check out the sturmy-archer website for 8 speed bicycle drive hubs slap that puppy on and LOOK OUT i'd make a bet it'll top 100mph+ if geared correcly. This also has a built in brake...Food for thought.. More sleepless nights for the MAD SCIENTIST within.

I love Hunter and I 'm so happy to be an aunt. Well, be seeing you soon.

Todd, Stephanie and Jack

1/30/2005

He's a cutie, are you going to keep 'em? haha. Jack asks when he can come over and play? Looks like Hunter will be ready when Indy IV is ready to film. At the rate they are trying to get the film out, he'll be old enough. P.S. We were worried that since we didn''t see Mandie in your Loves column that she was in the Hates column. Good thing she wasn''t there either.

1/30/2005

Hi Guys! Can't wait to see Hunter in person. Eric, you have a lot of very INTERESTING opinions - but everyone's entitled to their own, right!?

Eric

1/17/2005

I see a lot of feedback on the women love/hate thing here. I don't hate women...I'll rephrase that "crazy" and to clarify I'm not listing people as loves - or every relative will want to see their name there. I'll stick to Simpsons and lasagna for loves.

Steve

1/17/2005

Just a couple of thoughts, bro. You didn't list Mandie under your "loves?" Ever hear of "Dead Man Walking?" Hunter is one cool dude ... apparently takes after Mom. What the heck is a "Pontiac" Thunderbird???

Judy S.

1/15/2005

Eric I loved to pictures of Hunter. Can't wait until I can come and see him in person. Congratulations, I am happy for your whole family. I bet Grandpa and Grandma can't get enough of him. Hope to see you soon!
